Welcome! Are you interested in learning boating skills, engaging in fun activities with other boaters, or making closer connections within Savannah's boating community? If so, America's Boating Club® Savannah is a great place to start.

Our club has been active in the greater Savannah area since 1957. We're part of the United States Power Squadrons®, America's Boating Club® (USPS/ABClub) and one of 10 active clubs in District 26 that teach, learn, serve, and play together across South Carolina and Coastal Georgia.

Our members are individuals, couples, and families with children who enjoy recreational boating, support the overarching mission of the USPS/ABClub organization, and volunteer time and talent for the betterment of our club and community.

Learn with Classes and On-the-Water Training

  • Are you a new boater, new to Savannah, or just want to refresh your basic boating knowledge and skills? Want to share your love of boating with your kids or grandkids? Plan to join us for America's Boating Course, which meets all Georgia boater education requirements.

  • Getting started with a new or new-to-you boat? Our Jump Start program can help. It's two hours of coaching on your boat with one of our volunteers.

  • Ready for more? Take advantage of our advanced boat handling, navigation, boat systems, and marine environment courses and seminars as well as on-the-water training and grow in your confidence to pursue your boating lifestyle dreams.

  • And don't forget to ask about our boater education discounts for youth, ages 11-17. Boating is great family fun!

Have Fun with Boating and Social Activities

  • With Savannah's year-round boating season, our club has an active program of boating activities (see Activities and Upcoming Events). From lunchtime cruises, weekend adventures, and fishing to pick-up cruises with other members, there's something for everyone.

  • Members individually own over 60 boats, and many others enjoy membership with our local Freedom Boat Club and Carefree Boat Club. Don't have a boat? We'll help you come aboard with members who do.

  • Our fun is not all on the water. We enjoy getting together wherever friends, food, and fun can be found ... at our dinner meetings, local outings, and get-togethers as friends.

Enjoy Community Connections in Greater Savannah

  • We partner with the Chatham Sailing Club on sailing education and our local USCG Auxiliary flotilla for Vessel Safety Checks.

  • We have an active Cooperative Charting program that gets us out on the water and helps our local charts stay up to date.

  • We participate year-round in Clean Coast beach clean-ups, and members enjoy being part of the Coastal Conservation Association, the Dolphin Project, the Caretta Turtle Project, and more.

  • Our members, community partners, and friends collaborated in America's Boating Channel's video shoots to create 8 of 10 Season 5 safe boating videos and 6 more in Season 6.

  • Whatever your interest, we'll help you connect with the greater-Savannah boating community.

Come Aboard. You can check out our Upcoming Events and newsletters to learn more about our club. But the best way is to Contact Us and let us know you've visited, so we can learn more about your interests and boating lifestyle aspirations, invite you to our next activity or event, and help you get to know if our club is right for you. We're America's Boating Club® Savannah: Come aboard!
